By creating an account, accessing the dashboard, or sending SMS messages to PilotNotify ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PilotNotify is operated by PilotNotify ("we," "us," "our"). The Service is available at pilotnotify.com and via SMS.
PilotNotify is an SMS-based flight notification service for general aviation pilots. The Service allows pilots to:
You must be at least 18 years old to use PilotNotify. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
You must provide a valid phone number to create an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your phone number current. We authenticate accounts using SMS verification codes — you are responsible for the security of your device and phone number.
When you add a contact to your notify list, PilotNotify sends them an opt-in verification message. You represent and warrant that:
Contacts must reply YES to the opt-in message before they receive any flight notifications. Contacts can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.
Free Plan: Includes 1 contact, unlimited flights, SMS text-in, web dashboard, and flight scheduling. Free forever with no credit card required.
Pro Plan ($4.99/month or $39.99/year): Includes up to 15 contacts, FlightRadar24 and FlightAware tracking links in notifications, METAR weather briefings on departure, LANDED safe-arrival alerts, overdue landing check-in prompts, and priority support.
Prices are in US dollars and are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible from the dashboard Settings tab). Upon cancellation, your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days.
By using PilotNotify, you consent to receive SMS messages at the phone number you provide, including:
Message frequency varies based on your usage. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. You can opt out of all SMS by replying STOP to any message from PilotNotify.
We are not responsible for SMS delivery failures caused by carrier filtering, network issues, or incorrect phone numbers.
Important: PilotNotify is a notification convenience tool. It is NOT a flight-following service, an emergency locator, or a substitute for filing a flight plan, contacting ATC, or any FAA-required safety procedure.
PilotNotify is designed to help pilots conveniently notify their personal contacts about flights. It is NOT:
The overdue landing check-in feature is a convenience reminder sent to the pilot only. It does not contact emergency services, ATC, or search-and-rescue organizations. Do not rely on PilotNotify as your sole means of safety communication.
You are solely responsible for complying with all FAA regulations, filing appropriate flight plans, and using certified safety equipment.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PILOTNOTIFY AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PilotNotify and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
The Service includes links to FlightRadar24 and FlightAware for flight tracking. These are independent third-party services not operated by PilotNotify. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or privacy practices. METAR weather data is sourced from the FAA Aviation Weather Center and is provided as-is without guarantee of accuracy or timeliness.
The PilotNotify name, logo, dashboard, and all associated code and content are the property of PilotNotify. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without permission.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers of material changes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via SMS or the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which PilotNotify operates.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
